Monika Adrian composes and produces musical content for films, trailers, TV, games and commercials. The musical style of her compositions is a mixture of symphonic instruments, electronic special effects and elements of rock music.

Monika grew up in the easternmost province of Austria. In her childhood and youth, she learned to play keyboard instruments such as E-organ, piano and church organ, as well as the recorder, partly in private lessons, in music school or on her own. In the 90s, she also gained first experiences in digital music production.

At an early age, she had already considered to move from the countryside to Vienna, the capital of the world when it comes to art and culture. As a lover of cinema, film and trailer music, she gained a professional foothold in Central Europe’s largest multiplex cinema, which had up to one million visitors a year. She went all the way to the top management where she was responsible for almost 100 employees. Unfortunately, the direct connection to music got lost. After several years she nearly slipped into burnout, but in a courageous step she let go of her career and found back to her real passion: music.

Since 2017 Monika has been studying at the Akademie Deutsche Pop in the fields of sound engineering, audio design and composition and is now pursuing the Bachelor degree programme “Music Technology Specialist”, validated by the University of West London. In addition to her academic education, she participates in online coaching programmes of well-known composers and producers in the field of sync licensing, such as Michael Elsner, Gary Gray and Joyce Kettering, in order to learn the special requirements and also the business side of the licensing industry.

In the course of her studies Monika has already composed, produced and released her first EP (“Breathless”) containing tracks that underline her preference for epic film and trailer music. With this in mind, she created her own brand “Mad Swan Music”, aiming to make a name for herself in this branch.
She is currently working on the extension of her music catalogue in her home studio in order to have an attractive offer at hand when she will work with full enthusiasm on the establishment of her brand after her successful completion of her Bachelor’s degree.
